Rorschach's Journal: Post Entry One

I'm not a fan of the normal "super hero." Sure, Spider Man, Batman, and all those other "mans" are cool, but they've just never struck me as...y'know. Normal.
Enter Alan Moore's creation from the graphic novel Watchmen, Rorschach. Rorschach is what Moore envisions super heroes to really be like: outsiders, eccentrics, sociopaths, etc. Rorschach fights crime and is a vigilante, yes. Yay for him. But is that normal? Would a normal person with a normal upbringing ever conceive of spending their nights roaming the city in search of crime? According to Moore, no. That honesty about what a superhero/vigilante would act like in reality is what draws me to Rorschach. That, and he's a badass.
